Deep Thots

"Mentally alert is not equal to not suffering. And the fact that she's mentally alert is worse because she can feel the pain, the lost of control for physical movements. Things like this scare her because it's not something she has ever experienced. It stresses her out tremendously. When the quality of life is no longer there, being mentally alert and to feel every bit of it is worse"

"But if she's no longer her usual self, and you can feel that she's worried, upset, stressed out and if you know that this will not improved but will only get worse, perhaps it's time to let her go peacefully."

"When it comes to the point an animal is suffering and no longer enjoys life, is it really wise to keep it going?"

"Putting a pet down doesn't imply you are a bad owner. The pet knows that it has been loved through out its entire life. It had a wonderful life. And the last loving act an owner can do for its pet is to know when to let it go peacefully. Of course, it will be the owner's part to bear the grieve, but you would rather you bear the grieve than it bear the pain."

"On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can’t bear to watch."

"Don’t make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so."
